Coffee Date

This is oura first coffee date with Meg. Marlon had a mocha frappuccino, I had the coffee of the day, and Meg had a latte 0_0 kidding! But seriously, we spent the better part of the afternoon at Starbucks in SM Sucat. Meg enjoyed herself - because there weren't that many people there and the place was cool. She fell asleep but as soon as our little angel felt I wasn't around she woke up and she and Marlon went off to look for me. This was fun. We'll definitely do it again :D

4th Month

This was taken at 4 months. She started eating Milupa (aside from the usual hands, face, and other body part nearest her cute little mouth). She is my little star, my little happy person, my joy.

First 3 months

At 3 months:
Yahoo! Meg has turned over and now lies on her stomach! She enjoys sticking out her tongue and has learned the use of her hands - clasping them, grabbing things (like my clothes or her feet), placing things in her mouth, and holding her bottle without much help. She also sits up by herself (when in a slightly elevated and reclined position) and most of the time prefers to be propped up - clearly a sign that she's not one to stay on the sidelines. Her verbal skills have improved and now tends to shout, laugh, and baby-talk. She's beginning to explore and is very observant, active, and moves around the bed a lot.

At 2 months:
Meg turns on her side and does a lot of cooing. She places her fist or fingers in her mouth and loves to laugh and play. Her legs and arms are getting stronger - OUCH - she kicks hard! She's also more active and notices whenever I take pictures of her. She shows her preferences too! She prefers to be with me when she's sleepy or hungry, but enjoys the company of others when she wants to play. Seems to know what "oo" and "hindi" means and uses them when she can. One time, her Papa was trying to stop her crying when she shouted "HINDI", but as soon as Marlon turned her over to me, she quieted down and slept.

At 1 month:
At one month she tries to communicate verbally, but most of the time connects through actions (e.g. puts her hands to her mouth when she's hungry) and by crying. Her vision must be getting clearer because she begins to focus on us when we talk to her or sing to her. Nakakakilala na. I was made aware of our bond as mother and daughter when she preferred to be carried by me and when she slept more soundly when I was around.

At birth:
My darling baby girl, Mikaela Elise Gian (Meg) entered the world with a bang! As early as her first day, Meg showed that she's the boss and shouldn's be messed with! While still in the hospital nursery she swatted the vacuum that was sunctioning the goo off of her face. She would wail at the top of her lungs whenever she was forced into a situation that she did not like. Hmmm... maybe it's because she has 2 puyo.

Our Little Angel

This is a picture I took of Meg when she was only 1 month old. They say she's got her father's lips, head shape and (hopefully) her nose; and has my forehead, eyes and complexion. But I'm hoping that she takes with her the good qualities and none of the bad.

She's growing up real fast and sooner or later wont be an infant - but to me, she'll always be my sweet little angel, my baby Meg.
